Each artist made leaves to represent their talent. After the leaves were put in position, they were sewn to the decorative quilted-tree background.
 
Above: Some leaves were hand-painted, and sponged. Other leaves were entirely glass-beaded, and still other leaves were quilted, felted, and frayed. Each artist brought their craft with them; some leaves were very complicated while others were very simple. Below: Leaves were placed on the quilted back-ground and pinned.
